Fundraisers & Events

Here at Start Me Up Niagara, we host several fundraising events each year. These initiatives support our Resource Centre, food programs, garden program, Mobile Closet, and Bike Me Up.

Our Fundraising Initiatives

At Start Me Up Niagara, we host several fundraising events each year, including, the annual Coldest Night of the Year walk. Additionally, we partner with groups such as The Shoebox Project Network, Delta Bingo Sponsor Association, the National Giving Tuesday movement, and others that provide us with additional funds or in-kind donations to provide for our participants.

These initiatives support our Resource Centre, food programs, garden program, Mobile Closet, and Bike Me Up.

Get Involved!

We would love to have you get involved with our fundraising initiatives and events. Our participants need our help to nourish their bodies, provide warm shelter, get access to medical resources, or even work towards getting employment in our community. We rely on people like yourself to make our efforts in serving our community a success.

Coldest Night of the Year

Our largest event, the annual Coldest Night of the Year, helps give those who have a home the experience of what it is like to be outside in a Canadian winter's frigid conditions and experience what our participants feel daily. We are always looking for people to join us in the fight to help the homeless in our community. We provide toques to those who hit a specific fundraising target. It is a great community event to be involved in, whether you are walking, volunteering, or donating. Create a team, raise funds, recruit members, and walk with us!
